It says something about Brand and how hard it is to convict these kinds of men that not a single allegation I shared made it into the documentary or the court case. But after waiting a decade I can finally say publicly: Russell Brand is a rapist. I wish the survivors peace and happiness.
Let me tell you about Russell Brand, as someone who helped the journalists who eventually exposed him. In 2013/4, Brand started to become interested in progressive politics. He said progressive things publicly, went on Newsnight etc. At the time I was involved in progressive grassroots work myself.
I live in deeply conservative Croatia. Since the 2000s, the Catholic Church and other fascist/far right forces have done everything they can to foster a culture of bigotry and nationalism that openly celebrates our Nazi past and denies any wrongdoing. I realized early they were all liars and leeches

I lived in deep rural Appalachia in Ohio. When Clinton’s welfare to work policies kicked in, my mom literally could not apply for enough jobs because our town was so small. So I stopped getting meals. I watched the Clintons celebrate and liberals fawned over my childhood starvation.

OPB@opb.org · 20h agoAt least half the states in the country have some kind of restriction on trans girls in sports. But Washington would be one of the first to require medical testing to verify birth sex. Other states with bans require only proof of birth sex via a birth certificate.
For starters: Replace Schumer and Jeffries, undo anti-trans, anti-lgbtq and anti-DEI bills, reinstate USAID, tax the shit out of the billionaires, regulate AI, a moratorium on data centers, nationalize Space X. Then roll up our sleeves and get to work for the next several decades cleaning this mess.
Alright Barker you're not helping your case. Please push boundaries that actually exist.
