Why do we accept shortages in healthcare, education, and childcare, but never seem to run out of money for tax cuts, unending wars or big corp bailouts? The way we talk about public money shapes the world we live in. Notice the disconnect.

I testified in Judge Mehta's courtroom. I told the truth. A jury convicted. The system worked. Then the people running the executive branch decided the outcome was inconvenient and started tearing it down from the inside. That's not the courts failing.…

61 years after the Voting Rights Act became law, Texans are still fighting to be counted at the ballot box. Yesterday, the voice of the people was so loud that the Tarrant County Commissioners Court had no choice but to table their attempt to cut polling locations before the midterm election.

Nearly every one of El-Sayed's issue positions is supported by a majority. In fact, his stands are the center of American politics today. Saying he is far left/left wing is just so old. The center of American politics has moved over the last 30 years, and El-Sayed's position are center now.

Hillary Clinton lost to Barack Obama in 2008 and she stood behind him and made a difference I give credit to Haley Stevens in Michigan not wasting any time to unite behind Abdul El-Sayed It’s all about defeating the Republican political hack establishment candidate going forward !!

Sanders: The irony is that the proper criticism of communism is that the Soviet Union was an authoritarian society.  And then you’ve got the most authoritarian president in the history of this country. So I suppose when he says, “I’d be a great communist,” yeah, I think there’s some truth to that

I wrote a song about oranges.. Peel the orange, what’s inside? Anger hate and lies divide Rotten to the core A puppet, no more You sold us out to the highest bidder To fill your house with gold and glitter Nothing but evil, nothing to save When you’re long and gone, We’ll spit on your grave.

On a private call, Todd Blanche said his goal was to make the "Dobbs decision permanent in every single state." This isn’t just a confirmation vote anymore—it’s a roll-call vote on which Senators endorse BANNING abortion in ALL 50 states. I’m voting NO.

The fact that the Democratic senators are agreeing to a continuing resolution until Dec 11th with NO compromises for them is absolute political malpractice and head scratching. Why not even try to ban like…. The arch? Anything!

NEW: Republicans tried to get Missourians to effectively kill direct democracy and ballot initiatives. Last night, Missourians literally laughed in their face — rejecting the measure by a massive 80% to 20%. Here’s what to know:

Missourians Reject Measure That Threatened to Kill Citizen-Led Ballot Initiatives - Bolts

Missourians on Tuesday overwhelmingly voted against a measure to restrict direct democracy, while state officials are trying to block even more citizen-led reforms from the November ballot.

Prepare for an insane explosion of Islamophobia between now and November, from the same people on the right (and center!) who pretend to be exercised by the rise in anti-Jewish bigotry. The hate will be off the charts and make the anti-Zohran campaign look tame. Mark my words.

this name shit would be the perfect time for obama and/or mamdani to do a hit for el-sayed. "we've heard a lot of people attacking dr el-sayed over his name. well, for eight years they called me PRESIDENT hussein obama. and i'm MAYOR mamdani. so maybe its time for SENATOR el-sayed."

El-Sayed is right that our money should stay here. But even that framing accepts the myth that government needs our tax dollars to fund schools. It doesn't. The choice isn't between bombs and books. Congress could fund both. They choose bombs because they want to. Fiat means priorities. #DSA

El-Sayed: "I believe our kids have a right to our tax dollars. I'm about 10 min away from schools that look like they did 50 years ago. Our money should be spent here rather than sent in the form of bombs or tanks to foreign govts, particularly when they are doing most heinous things with them ... "

El-Sayed: "Once a government agency like ICE is told it has impunity to do the worst things and violate the highest law of the land, which is the Constitution itself, I don't think you can reform or retrain. I think we need to start from scratch ... I think we need to abolish it."
