All the people thinking Hong squeeking out a victory is some huge victory, when all it means is half the state isn’t on board. Same in Michigan. If they want to win they need to win over the voters that didn’t vote for them. Not do victory laps.

17 mile bike ride for me this AM. Saw a mama swan and babies. Then hidden lake trail with the pups, about 2.5 miles. The trail is between pyramid point and good harbor bay. Very isolated. No cell service. No people. Perfect.

Birthday hike near Lake Ann. I always look for hikes with water access so the pups can take a dip. This was perfect. Lake Mary, Platte River and Lake Ann. The northwoods are a gift. Back to the cottage for Birria tacos.

Breaking: GOP Congressman Andy Ogles, who has said gay people have “no place in America” and “Muslims don't belong in American society,” just lost his primary in Tennessee. He will no longer serve in Congress.

Ogles lost his primary tonight.

Not much cooking time this week with a last minute grant application, med school committee stuff and a packed clinic. I had made a meaty sauce on the weekend and have used it as a sandwich filling to n garlic bread. Turns out that is delicious and easy. Day one of that tonight. :).
