The effective federal corporate income tax rate: 1950: 50% 1990: 25% 2020: 13% Stop asking "but how we will pay for it?" Restore the corporate tax rate. That is how we will pay for it.

One reason Social Security is running short of money in 2032 is because a small number of voters, faced w/a choice of voting for the guy who promised to use Clinton’s surplus for tax cuts & guy who promised a Social Security lock box, couldn’t figure out the Butterfly Ballot in Palm Beach County.

I really like this 2BR/1BA floorplan in Kendall Square, Boston 720 square feet ... and deals with a narrow acute corner angle really well Developers don't really building 2BR/1BAs anymore

I hate to ”both sides” this, but republican text messages are just as terrible and rage inducing. As 10-year recovering former republican, I still get their stupid messages. Modern political campaigns are simply miserable across the ideological spectrum.

95% of my communications from the Democratic Party look like this. I have never in my life signed up to be texted by a campaign or the party, and I spent fruitless months attempting to unsubscribe from these. These are functionally identical to scam texts.

All them men struggling for HOURS, me judging their tactics and cheering breakaways and catch ups, all while I’m finally doing dishes and vacuuming - or not. All while also getting ready to watch F1. I love July weekends.

i love a mountain stage on the tour de france. watch the fittest men in the world work as hard as possible to go 1mph uphill as drunks scream in their face, then go downhill so fast that i have to occasionally hide my face behind a pillow. allez allez allez

Nobody disputes that having access to a car in a car-dominated society is good. It gives one access to jobs, healthcare, food, education, social opportunities and more. All we're asking is for people to go one step deeper and ask why access to such basic rights requires buying and operating a car.

I grew up in Jackson Heights in Queens and we still had a car, and our lives got measurably better when we did.

It’s worth noting that Taco Bell identified the source before the FDA did, and promptly pulled it from their stores. The FDA didn’t even name the source until Taylor Farms outed themselves, and hasn’t issued a recall. Basically, Taco Bell is now a more reliable authority than the FDA.

Taylor Farms, which supplies major fast food and grocery chains, was identified as the possible source of the cyclosporiasis outbreak Thursday.

The American (and Australian!) mind can’t comprehend Swiss apartment plans. No corridors. Two apartments per core. Means all homes all dual aspect with great access to light and ventilation. In Basel. Architects are Miller & Maranta

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is a delightful plane - except for the crew controlled window tinting. Morning flight out of Heathrow with an afternoon arrival in the US and I need to stay awake except I can’t control the daylight at my window seat. 😡🤬
