No other word has done more damage to the craft of writing in recent years than “content”. Even if you’re using the word “content” ironically, or as a cute little joke, don’t. When someone calls writing “content” they’re pissing on someone’s hard work & passion. “Content” is Technosatan’s henchword.

there isn't a problem with the game's industry. there's a problem with every industry and every publicly traded company. getting a "nice CEO who cares" or whatever won't fix anything until things are addressed at a more fundamental societal level. the system will always drive towards this behavior.

Game development is so funny because we have these grand visions of what we want to do but then get stuck spending hours on trivial things like making ESC close the correct UI element.

as soon as you actually try to make art in earnest it makes you so understanding and forgiving of everything else that gets made. every publishing or release is a miracle ordained by the holy spirit. I know brushes with death happened to get it to the public. what more can I ask other than you live.

Gaming stocks are dropping today after Google's rollout of Project Genie, an AI tool that lets users create and explore virtual worlds for 60 seconds. This is the result of a market that does not understand how video games are made. Allow me to suggest that the Street read Blood, Sweat, and Pixels
