I would rather a horror story that included a line like “From time to time it moved a little, or settled in a different way” than any amount of gore, vampires, zombies. evisceration, or demonic possession. Luckily, I’m currently reading this so all is well.

Dear UK 🇬🇧 government. It’s ok , your vote isn’t going to collapse if you name & shame fascists & racists . It may well increase . Your silence in not standing up to bullies makes it look as if you’re standing with them . Their expression more brutal but you’re playing for the same team 💔

A watercolour and acrylic ink painting of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. A fairly straightforward version of the famous photograph by Mick Rock with a bit of artistic license. Bowie at the front of stage in blue jeans, a small and shiny blue coat, tall white boots and his spiky red hair, he sings into a microphone and holds his left arm aloft, fist clenched. Mick Ronson on the far right of the stage throws a shape as he plays his cream coloured guitar, again , his arm raised over his head. He wears a spangly white blue and silver two piece, long white socks and pretty little black shoes, his blonde hair reflecting the bright stage lights, his face a rock star grimace. Big Trevor Boulder stands behind him, bass strapped to him, he too wears a fetching silver suit, he has long dark hair and a superb pair of silver sideburns. Woody Woodmansey press awkwardly from behind his drum kit at the back of the stage, the name THE SPIDERS in black on white on the skin of his bass drum. Stage lights give way to a galaxy of stars. A bright and colourful painting in homage to the bright and colourful photograph by Mick Rock. Celebratory and extravagant, blasting away the cobwebs of the 70’s.

I’m 52 next month & it somehow feels like more of a crossroads than 50, especially after meeting up with an old friend I hadn’t seen in years last week. I’ve definitely hit a “what has been the point of me/what good have I done?” stage. Bit deep & my answer will probably be “crosshatch something”🤷🏼‍♂️

I was meant to be working hard and then going to a gig this week but I’ve had the grottiest of colds & have barely moved. And the boiler is broken. I will get this project finished though!
