Andy Burnham is definitely wrong on some key issues: refugees, far-right groups, the continued proscription of Palestine Action. But it does make a nice change to have a PM who is not wrong on absolutely every issue, and is actually decent on quite a few.

What I love about Western democracy is you can bung a political party £ 36 million earned from criminal activity & most media will continue to point at asylum seekers & migrant care workers with families as the barbarians at the gate we need to defend ourselves from 🙄.
I don't get the hype. It's been on show forever in France, a short hop over the channel. I've seen it twice there and I've never lived permanently south of Manchester. If you live in London and claiming to be desperate to see it, the truth is you couldn't previously be arsed.

Jesus was a refugee, who fled to Egypt to escape King Herod. He praised the Good Samaritan - someone who helped an outsider. He said "whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." You can't be a Christian and anti-migrant.

Reform "wants young people to be more patriotic." My daughter cares about her country. She felt that it would be better if we stayed in the EU. So age 14 she went on her first protest in 2017, an anti-Brexit march in Leeds. A woman wearing a UKIP badge told her, "People like you should be hanged".
