Working on Boundless Space today, and one of the things that drove me nuts about the playtest was how flat and unimaginative the passengers for your far-future space trader were. Now into the full version, I'm taking the time to draw all twelve in more dynamic, floating poses. Unbound, if you will

Color illustration: three characters stand in bust profile before a tech-wall. Anao, the stowaway, Tjikko, the doctor, and CAT-21, the failed prospector. They are, in order, a maybe-Brazilian kid, a green-skinned old lady, and a big dumb robotLine drawing, the same characters, but floating in center frame. Their look has been updated a bit, too.

Regular followers will know that I absolutely loathe guns in the real world, especially the pernicious myth that an armed society is a polite one. That's just hostages all the way down. That said, man are they a convenient device for showing a characters fit and relationship with violence.

Thinking about all the magic wizard guns @nightjargames.bsky.social did for Inevitable, and getting slowly overwhelmed with gun-joy. Is this what Americans feel every day?

This is the funniest, worst costume I have ever seen. I'm kind of in awe of a guy who can draw this, without getting hung up on how that giant thurible would simultaneously wrap around her legs, tripping her, and also pull the hips of her bikini bottom down to her knees.

A somewhat nekkid nun in an impractical costume.
