#AwesomeCharacters It really varies from character to character, but I think my most consistent way is with stillness. People aren’t meant to be still. We move constantly even when we’d say we’re at rest. If someone goes completely still, they’re about to do something with all that tension.

I am trying to write a sequel right now… The biggest roadblock is the the book before it is still unrealease and thus can be endlessly poke and prodded and edited again and again and again… So I should probably just release it shouldn’t I? #WritingPrompt #WriteSky

#AnthropologyAugust So this isn’t particular to any species, but medical knowledge is the domain of Polyena and her Temple, and most of her priests are either human or Wyldkin, so I guess they win. As for “Germs”, they don’t know about them in the same way we do, but they do know that certain kinds

#WIPSnips A carrier is just something that carries right? Okay so someone carrying could count as a carrier… (We’re stretching the vibes thin here today folks) Arlo and Roderika arrive in their first Faithful Only Village and find it… very similar while being wildly different. #WriteSky

They continued on for a few more miles in silence. More farms rolled past on either side of the road, and a few more people.
Some stopped to watch them go by but there were no further incidents. As afternoon was turning into evening they came to their first Faithful village.
The first difference was obvious. Where in Alliance towns and villages the churches were small buildings well away from the rest, here it was in the center of town. While every other building in the village was built of wood and thatch, the church was constructed of stone and mortar. Its steeple rose above every other building and was topped with a large cross that the churches along the road here had lacked. The building itself too was at least double the size of any other building in town, with clean whitewashed walls where the buildings surrounding it were simple bare wood.
The people didn't look any different, though even after weeks on the road with a caravan of all human members it was still odd to Arlo not to see any elves towering over everyone or Wyldkin ears poking out of at least a few heads. They all wore clothes made of simple materials and muted colors; wool or linen from what he could see, all in shades of black, grey, or brown. The men all wore loose fitting shirts tucked into pants that tapered in at the calf to be tucked into calf height leather boots or tall shoes.
The few women Arlo could see wore high necked dresses, most with an apron tied over the front. Their skirts ran to just barely over the ground, which seemed impractical given that none of the streets here were paved. Their faces were all deep inside bonnets the same muted colors as their clothes.
What was different was their reactions. In Alliance villages they'd gotten jaunty waves or questions about news, smiles and greetings. This village was silent. Every person seemed to have turned out onto their porch or street to watch the caravan go by, but not one looked happy about it. Arlo saw several men spit, either to…

#CartAugust So the big bodies of water are the Dagger Sea, kind of a narrow bay if we’re being completely honest, and Mourn Lake to the south. The Dagger Sea continues further west off the page and eventually opens up to a vast ocean. The Alliance are not a particularly sea faring people, so they

#MythAugust 5 Today is about hierarchy! Who ranks highest or lowest among your gods/spirits/whatever? Is there a consensus about this ranking? As usual, interpret the question as loosely as you need to to fit your specific worldbuilding, and feel free to skip if it's not relevant to you! 😊❤️

#AnthropologyAugust The smallest would be the Dwarves, who rarely top out around 5’ 5” or so, the vast majority being under 5’. This isn’t a massive setback to them as the live completely underground or in places similarly devoid of daylight.

#AnthropologyAugust Once again doing the opposite, we just talked about the largest intelligent species, now what is the smallest? Does your setting have goblins or gnomes? Or does it have even smaller creatures like bugs or fairies? Does their size affect their interactions with other species?

#MythAugust Okay I have a couple of delineations that I think are relevant here; First is Gods VS Primordial Gods. The latter are the fundamental building blocks of reality, and would exist with or without any human involvement (things like fire, water, space, etc) The Former are what you’d
