Having kids has made me more anti-car than childless me could have imagined.
What I’ve realized with Brian and Jack gone for the past few days and me home with the cats is that I need to take more time to myself to sit at a restaurant with a book and be alone in public.
I have the whole day to myself so I’m indulging by getting a massage and buying nonsense I don’t need but love to have at the Dupont Farmer’s Market. Nonsense includes fresh mushrooms, heirloom tomatoes, and pickles.
airbnb I’m staying at unintentionally created the toughest punk album cover of 2027
Still amazes me that a year and a half ago this alley cat was feral and scared of humans and now she lets even Jack pet her without flinching

Biked to picnic at a “secret” waterfall in Arlington. Jack conquered the Custis Trail!

This evening after biking to camp pick up the family biked down to Navy Yard for free fishing, fished for an hour, then biked back home past the Capitol. It’s so easy to bop around to free events around the city in a bike.
Good vibes all week biking around the Convention Center area for camp drop off, as the Girl Scouts are in town!
