'You'll choke too' - an aerial embroidery landscape inspired by all the wildfires happening right now... I'm upset every time I smell smoke outside and somehow we have people starting them maliciously too! But we all breathe the same air so they'll choke too (1/2 - see thread for close-ups)
Good morning knitters ☀️! We start each new year with the prompt that started it all: show me your SHAWLS! You always amaze me with this one & I add a million patterns to my list! Despite that, haven’t finished a shawl since 2023 (apparently 😬). Re-post of Frank by Joji Locatelli #ShowMeYourKnits 🧶
For leaping about in the thickest bracken, I am suggesting Charles James’s 1954 clover leaf ballgown for today’s Unsuitable Dog Walk Attire. Blending into the forest of ferns, it would collect all manner of unexpected flora and fauna along the way @metmuseum.org #FashionHistory 🗃️🪡
I totally failed at #TourDeFleece26 posting but I very much succeeded at tdf spinning! Not quite as impressive as Pogačar’s 5 lol 🧶 #HandSpinning
Finally I took some pics of our latest crafting project! My partner @vyrosk.bsky.social & I build ourselves a chest from scratch & I decided to paint something into the arches. It was challening to work on, but I also enjoyed wood working & painting traditionally for once. #medieval #art
Gold octopus ornaments from Bronze Age Mycenae, some 3,500 years ago. Probably sewn onto a funerary garment or shroud. Grave IV, Grave Circle A. National Archaeological Museum, Athens 📷 by me #Archaeology
She loved her surgery cone for the first couple days (it made her feel powerful and intimidating) so we got her a courted ruff to look sinister in.
There are still some threads that need trimming, but I'm happy that my wall quilt is now done.

Jimothy the Seattle Raccoon pattern by CouleeCraft
Jimothy is a Raccoon is a real life cryptid, and if you’ve seen any of my other patterns you know I love cryptids. In Seattle on Monday July 13th 2026 Kiana Hall took a video of a little raccoon with ...

Going a bit knitting-adjacent this week…what makes your knitting better, easier, more fun? Project bags, needle sets, stitch markers, cool tools…let’s see ‘em 👀 I’m pretty basic, tho recently been converted to KnitPro Nova Cubics. Project bag & Miffy notions fr Van Gogh museum 🌸 #ShowMeYourKnits 🧶
Over the past few days of #TourDeFleece26 I’ve been spinning this gorgeous BFL/Silk hand dyed braid. This blend is my favourite, the sheen, the softness, it spins like butter. Braid is from Pigment & Ply, one of my favourite UK yarn dyers. 🧶 #HandSpinning
Jeanne Lanvin bucked the flapper furore with her robe de style evening wear, including fullness at the hip that was so often absent from #1920s evening wear. This black silk is decorated with ferns of pale gold chenille embroidery that feature about the skirt #V_and_A #FashionHistory 🗃️🪡
Good morning knitters ☀️! This week is about TEXTURE; we’ve done stockinette & garter, the foundation stitches. Now show me your interesting stitch patterns. This Zoe uses slipped stitches on the front of the work to make two different diagonal patterns (not hard, but a pain). #ShowMeYourKnits 🧶
I finished the second bobbin yesterday so today I’ve been plying, so much plying. 🧶 #HandSpinning #TourDeFleece26
Furisode “scale peony” Fukuro-obi “Spring Chrysanthemum” “Furisodekara ” is a furisode collection born from “ KAPUKI ”, a kimono shop in Nakameguro, Tokyo .
Day 4 of the #TourDeFleece26. Yesterday I finished the first half of this spin, today I’ve started the second. Now I’ve gotten into a flow it’s going much quicker than I anticipated! 🧶 #HandSpinning
