Well, it finally happened! After 9 years of Unity dominance, Godot was the most used game engine for GMTK Game Jam 2026 submissions. 🤖 Godot - 47% 🎮 Unity - 34% 🛠️GameMaker - 5% 🚀 Unreal Engine - 3% ✨ Other - 11%

So good to see Arkane's workers push for this! Also a great example of one of the core benefits of unionization, which is just "creating a structure for discussion and systems to make collective decisions." Always much harder to get action at scale like this if there isn't already organization.

It's absurd and dystopian that payment processors get to decide what we can and can't see on the internet. That companies like Visa and Mastercard can use their enormous size to bully companies into taking stuff offline - based on the reactionary politics of a small group.
