It is unfortunately very American that a mass shooter was driven away by a man who was prepared to return fire because it was his second time being in a mass shooting in the last 5 years. Good on the guy for fighting back and saving lives but damn

just learned that in Swiss law, part of the definition of firearm is that it can be carried and fired by one person, so if you have a very large crew served machine gun it doesnt count as a gun and you dont need to get a permit or pass a background check

So it turns out if I want to do any real upgrades someone's gonna have to redesign the internals and I'm gonna have to pull out the guts and replace them. There's so much potential here but it's gonna be hell to make it worth it

I really love seeing people make music/ visual art/etc and not being very good at it because I really like seeing people try things and be willing to put their unfinished/rough around the edges work out there. Everyone starts out bad at stuff before they get good, and it's good to see that sometimes

I know we all go through this balancing act but it is sometimes difficult to remember how to care about the terrible things happening while not just feeling constantly exhausted
