You dont need to be a photographer to take a nice picture of your food, its really not that difficult. Its not like you dont have a phone with a camera because you are using your phone anyway to generate AI slop so why not just take a picture instead.

I painted the guy. Just roughly; Not aiming for a higher end mini-painting level of polish. He got a bit too glossy, but I needed that extra durable varnish layer.

Some light sculpting before bed. Looks a lot more sloppy/rough in the pic than IRL. Should maybe have used a firmer clay, but I reaaally did not feel like kneading my firm super sculpy to soften it to workability.

There are a lot of critiques of LLMs that I agree with but "they suck and aren't useful" doesn't really hold water. I understand people not using them because of social, economic, and environmental concerns. And I also understand people using them because they can be very useful. Thoughts?

So, folks probably shouldn't watch anything by Hank Green anymore. If you're using AI by choice, get lost.

I know the world is burning down around us, and fascism is taking/has taken over, so my personal complaints mean nothing in the face of all that... But I'm just so tired all the time. Like, sleeping bad and then needing multiple naps a day levels tired... what the fuck?

This print has been 1 frustration after another. Re-carved the key block on nicer lino and refined the design. Had a hell of a time transfering to a 2nd block for the background. Just could not get it aligned right. I think I've got that sorted now... finally. So fingers crossed I can print soon.

Multi-colored test print just to troubleshoot my carving. Not final colors, inks or paper; Just using the cheap tuff for testing right now... Thank go because that black is splotchy as all hell. I think the star should not be gold now, and I need to tidy up some of the red.

Ok, time to stop scrolling for tonight; It's starting to cause the brain bugs to act up again.

Whenever I make art cards they sell waaaay better than my lino prints. But they're 1-off originals with a much worse effort-to-profit ratio. So I'm thinking I should do a set of lino cut art cards, that I then paint after printing, combine the best of both things. Just need to decide on a theme.

Wish I had an in-person rpg group instead of only online, but that doesn't seem likely while stuck in small town nowheresville.

And we ended up canceling the game. Another player had to rush their spose to the hospital (who I'm told is doing is ok now), and another had alergies acting up. Bummer.

Gonne be a player short this Firday, so we're taking a little break from our usual Wildsea game to play a 1-shot of FIST! I feel like the mission I'm building is... uh... not what I anticipated.

I hate constantly saying how big a shame it is that talented gamedevs who've made extremely great games are being laid off... Developers of mediocre games shouldn't be getting fired either, they should have long careers and the opportunity to improve and reach their potential.
