Traded my guns for a minivan. Bouncing around Africa looking inside Dash-8s. Lefty. My views are my own. Kane Lives In Death. Burn Osea to the ground. Disco Elysium. Ace Combat. The Expanse. Star Trek. Deus Ex. Anything Sci-Fi

this is clickbait garbage a) it wasn't ~dronez~ stuff, it was the same vanilla GPS jamming that has occurred at WSMR for decades b) a crew should *absolutely* be capable of conducting a nonprecision approach to an ILS, *ESPECIALLY* if there's a NOTAM out for PNT jamming

A routine medical flight, on a clear night, ended with a plane crash that killed all four people onboard. Investigators say it's the first known US civilian plane crash tied to electronic warfare. This won't be the last story of its kind. A must-read from @jeffwise.bsky.social for @wired.com

One fun thing I learned is Tom Blackburn, VF-17s CO who contributed to this report, tried to steal a typewriter off the USS Bunker Hill after his squadron was transferred, the XO of the ship stopped him and he was stuck using a mobile crappy typewriter hence why the paper is colored and a weird font

In this, I explain what an Aircraft Action Report is, which is one of the most important primary source documents I am using. While I am primarily writing about Hellcats, I got this report directly from NARA, and it isn't in their digital catalog, so you’re actually getting exclusive content!
