Actually quite angry reading this. I know it’s a bit passé to talk about “why don’t politicians crack down on people not using headphones on the bus” but I think we do need to reckon with platforms that incentivise people to completely disregard the norms of civil society and get away with it.

Every criminal defence lawyer should now be asking - as standard: * Has any piece of evidence, schedule, digital search, summary, or unused assessment been conducted by AI? * Has any witness used AI in the formulation of their statement, exhibits or in preparation of giving oral evidence at trial?

Millions seeing their incomes and quality of life reduced as they struggle to be amateur, unpaid carers leading to reduced tax take, or we free up that economic capacity by paying more tax now to pay people to do it as their job thereby increasing tax take. How hard can it be to make this leap?
