One of my favorite parts of profiling Barbara Chase-Riboud (aside from just ... having an empty Louvre largely to myself ofc) that didn't make it into the story is when she, the first Black woman to earn an architecture degree from Yale, proceeded to drag Tom and his design choices for filth!

Your daily dose of @raeshandalias.bsky.social If we’re not talking about you, move on. I post the “not all white people” train every damn day.
If you don't serve as a pack mule for America's latest great white hope it means you hate America. Or something.
Paxton's team is grinning from ear to ear. Crocket used to be on board with whatever it takes to end fascism. Maybe she's taken a page out of Marge's book and plans to flee the country and no longer gives a rip about this country. Or maybe she's doing what Chuck is telling her to do. Who knows.
Stay on their necks, Auntie!

Remember how they tried to shut Rep. Beatty out? “In a pair of rulings, U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper granted in part Rep. Joyce Beatty’s (D-Ohio) request for a preliminary injunction to temporarily block Trump from taking any further steps toward closing the institution.”
lol.
Nail shop only has 6 people in here getting pedicures. Definitely a recession indicator.
Honored to be joined by Rep. Jasmine Crockett and leaders from California’s Black community, labor movement, and faith communities for a powerful morning in Los Angeles. And a special thank you to Dulan's Soul Food Kitchen for the delicious breakfast. @jasmineforus.bsky.social

Yep. This is why when places end cash bail, the conviction rate goes down. Because a lot of those convictions were just innocent Black folk taking plea deals for crimes that they 100% did not do, to avoid a life destroying year in jail. Like this.
I wish people could understand. I once had a client accept a guilty plea - when I had absolute evidence he had not committed the crime - because they were going to make him sit in jail until trial.

The Supreme Court’s gutting of the Voting Rights Act wasn’t a surprise. It was a strategy. Republicans have spent decades engineering the electorate because they know something we know too: when every...

Kamala Harris: When you look at this war in Iran, which the American people do not want, which was not authorized by congress. Even if it was, it should not have been initiated. He talked about obliterated. It's all just bullshit.

Black people, we’ve been here before—so make a plan to register, to vote anyway—make them stop us and make it public.

Black majority districts in the south will all disappear. Blue states will respond by diluting urban districts and creating more suburban districts. Result is the end of the CBC and Black influence in congress. Likely 50%+ drop
(Politico) - The Supreme Court significantly narrowed a key provision of the Voting Rights Act in a 6-3 ruling Wednesday, further eroding the impact of the landmark civil rights-era law. @politico.com #Louisiana www.politico.com/news/2026/04...

BREAKING: Supreme Court rules 6-3 that Louisiana's map is an unconstitutional gerrymander. Majority by Alito rules that Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act, "properly construed," can provide a compelling reason for race-based redistricting, but that did not happen here.
