Fake identities, social engineering, edited history to cover its tracks. None of it prompted. It failed because one maintainer refused to merge unsolicited code.

Just two months ago, Xavier Becerra defeated billionaire Tom Steyer in the California gubernatorial primary despite Steyer spending $215 million of his own money to fund his campaign. I wonder if Bernie is memory holing that race because his allies at Our Revolution backed Steyer.
