“Who am I? You can't miss me-I'm in a big silver box, on the top it says Phone... Help!!” Saving Jumpin' Jack Flash from the KMFGB and… winging it! 💛💜❤️

🧵Here we go Y’all are upset because I called out your hypocrisy about genocide. America has been thriving off of and exporting American style racism against Black Folks here to the rest of the world for 250 years. Y’all ALWAYS ignore that until it’s convenient. 2024 was a sad example of that

Recognizing your engagement bait strategy and doing something about it is bad for some reason now lmao. Why are you crying about people having boundaries?

Just two months ago, Xavier Becerra defeated billionaire Tom Steyer in the California gubernatorial primary despite Steyer spending $215 million of his own money to fund his campaign. I wonder if Bernie is memory holing that race because his allies at Our Revolution backed Steyer.

Bernie Sanders says he cannot recall any candidate overcoming as much opposition funding as Abdul El-Syaed.

Trump: “Canada is nasty. They are nasty.” Thing is, Canadians know a fucking depraved, vulgar, weak willed, cowardly thug when we see one. The entire world hates you with a passion that is indescribable. There is no one whi is not looking forward to reading your obituary.

Jim Crow 2.0 doesn't have poll taxes. They just get rid of polling places to make it much harder for you to vote, and kick you off the voter rolls for 'reasons' without telling you. Voter suppression is racism. If a candidate isn't talking about voting rights, they aren't paying attention.

The NAACP has released a statement while the Tarrant County Commissioners Court considers a proposal today that would cut the number of Election Day polling locations nearly in half "Let's call this what it is… voter suppression"

Tarrant County, Texas, could see around 50 percent fewer polling locations in November's election.

"Let's call this what it is… voter suppression," said NAACP President and CEO Derrick Johnson. "Cutting nearly half the places where people can cast a ballot doesn't save democracy money, it costs voters their voice. Tarrant County is home to a significant number of Black and Latino voters and is a majority people-of-color county. There is no question that this plan strips away polling access on a scale that will hit Black and Brown voters hardest. That is not a coincidence. It’s an intentional assault on our ability to make our voices heard and we will push back with every tool available.”

Just saw someone describe el Sayed's primary win as "seismic." Can someone explain to me how winning with a margin of less than a point is "seismic?" Does the meaning of words matter anymore? (Pic of Secretariat in the 1973 Belmont Stakes to illustrate what a seismic victory really looks like.)

This is part of the destruction that resulted from the 2024 election that can never be stepped back or repaired. The slicing up of our national land, the lifting of all regulations that protect our waters and air, and the likely end of certain wildlife species is unforgivable.

The rank of general is not a costume. It is earned through service, sacrifice and the responsibility of leading troops. Donald Trump avoided the draft five times. Now he posts AI images of himself beside Patton and MacArthur. He can play general. I retired as one. Leadership Matters!!

Rep. Chuck Edwards, R-N.C., has dropped his reelection campaign after the House Ethics Committee released a report alleging he had persistent, unprofessional, and inappropriate conduct toward two young female staffers. Rep. Edwards has called the allegations baseless.

I’d like the last thread to be my only proper thread on those results but I will do this short one to address a part of it. In 2022 after that disgusting primary, where I preferred Kenyatta or Lamb, I signed up in the general with the PA Dems to elect Fetterman. It was disastrous & difficult…

In Illinois, the implications threaten not only individual households but also the viability of the Chicago area’s independent authorized SNAP retailers.

Today's special edition of Mississippi Matters Monday comes from Batesville, where I had a wonderful conversation with Eloise McClinton, the Executive Director of Mississippi Head Start, about why every child deserves a strong start.
