my design hill I die on is a lot of western mecha design fail to match the personality of japanese robots because they don't approach the process with the right mindset, they think "i'm gonna draw a japanese anime robot" not "i'm going to draw a robot that fits the tone and style of the story"

tried a video game music quiz today and it has become apparent I have not played a video game newer than 2015 and also nobody has actually written a song for a game that recent either apparently every game ost is just vague violin strings and faint industrial sounds for atmosphere

(teaching middle school english class) Did you know that the headphones chad from phonk aura edits is actually a character from a media directed by Mary Harron called "American Psycho?" smartest student, standing up: But... that means...! me: That's right, Xander; It's foidgem

there are lots of popular things that aren't for me. that's normal. but watching the GTA 6 hype from outside the bubble feels different. what do you mean there's a gameplay reveal exclusive to netflix. why is the tone of every announcement if this game doesn't sell 100 million copies we're all dead

anyway i think more RPGs should give you player characters that are deeply flawed people who have done unambiguous harm in their backstory, and force you to not only contend with that, but pick up the pieces and figure out where to take that character next
