Good 'un from August, 2018. Happy coincidence: the smoky artifacting in the right side of the second panel is light pollution from the scan bed (these are too large for my scanner and are imported in two files that are joined in GIMP). #latentoats

Image of a comic strip consisting of four panels that read L-R. The strip is a manilla beige color, although there is halftone pattern used as shading in the third panel that is tinted horizontal layers of varying reds. Halftone pattern also shades the Squid Man character im each panel. The title of the strip is "Squid Man" and justified R reads attribution "by Katch & Chaz". There is a date stamp under the names that reads August 6th, 2018.

The first panel shows Sqiud Man, a floating tentacled, floppy armed and legged creature, with a large single eye, speaking to a young man with short black hair in a neat black suit with black tie and white handkerchief in breast pocket holding a pad of papers. Squid Man says, "The world is on fire. You are a kerosene salesman." The man does not look happy.

The second panel shows the young man looking down at his papers and Squid Man saying, "Sometimes you just have to play the part."

The third panel shows Squidman silent in contemplation and the young man is looking at him discocertedly. The background is shaded in layers of jagged red/orange/brown hues of halftone pattern, suggesting large fires in the backgroud.

The fourth panel has Squid Man moving to the right of the frame, the young man standing (still facing left) near the left of the frame. There is heavy rain indicated by diagonal halftone pattern, dark and partially occluding the characters. The young man's hair has washed down over his forehead, and he looks more disconcerted than in previos frames. Squid Man is saying, "Torrential rains and flooding. Now you are a sewage overflow salesman."

Really hoping that Anne Carson arranges a meeting with the the Pres. and a press conference in order to gift him her Prize, only to say "Yoink!" in front of all the cameras and to walk off, leaving him standing awkwardly (and on skewed appendages, apparently).

What is the movie that came out before you were born that you’ve watched the most times? A station in Chicago played a Marx Brother's marathon every New Year's when I was growing up, and I was glued. I'm fond of others, but Duck Soup is the most likely forerunner for times watched.

Mirror, Mirror

Alt: Scene from The Marx Brother's Duck Soup in which Groucho suspects that his Mirror might just be a series of mimes dressed like him.
