For no reason at all, here's my take on the original George Perez Starfire design. I drew this a while ago, but reworked the colors recently. I played with some channel mixing/blending, and gradient mapping. I think it's better than the first coloring pass, but it maybe looks overworked. I dunno.

I just got back from seeing The Transformers: The Movie on the big screen. Awesome! The attached short, Optimus Prime: Awakening, is a mixed bag. Great voice work and great to see Cullen get a send-off. However, when compared to the movie, the CG falls flat, and the story feels like a soft pilot.
Happy Batman Day! This was a private work I did for fun few years back. It was originally a cover idea, but I never got around to using it for one reason or another. I finally finished it to test out my new batch of pens & for inking exercise. I later sold it to a very happy Batman art collector.
Batman Day, you say? I haven't drawn the character that many times. Here's two times that I have. Both are just design studies. The first is my take on the classic, 1950s-80s costume, and the other is my attempt at redesigning Bats and his ward, Robin. I still really like how cocky Robin looks here.

At this point, I don't care if the AI bubble bursts, and takes out 30-40% of the global stock market, plummeting the world into a depression that makes 1929 look tame. The sooner, the better.

You might not8ce that the name headers are all weird. That's because I had actually thought up a whole fan-reimagined take on Cybertronians, replete with more "alien" sounding names. With no momentum, I abandoned the idea after some text outlines, and these visual concepts. More . . . .
An Aerialbots banner-style illustration. I did this for when I had an artist page on Facebook (yeesh!). I tried to do a take that mashed the G1 toy designs with a cartoony/animated rendering style. I still can't decide if it works.
My leaner, meaner, "heroic mecha" take on Armada Optimus Prime. AOP is one of the only non-G1 designs I truly love. Too bad the accompanying fiction is such an uninspired slog. It's not even full of fun schlock made by writers who are getting away with weird shit. #Transformers #TransformersDay
