Could any Irish followers help me with the pronunciation of Carrigrohanebeg? It crops up constantly in my family records and I'm sure I'm reading/saying it wrong, so if anyone could provide a phonetic spelling to help me, I'd be very grateful!!

Overhearing Kemi Badenoch and fascinating how she can't avoid being partisan. She makes an unconvincing but at least different argument about candidate selection citing the need to forgive and rehabilitate. But a bit of pushback and she jumps to saying labour picked a neo nazi councillor in 2012

Honestly think it's a bad idea to follow some of the big names on here Just because in doing so they take over your entire feed and you end up missing stuff from the people you actually want to hear from Also, too many people on here engage with something that annoys them when they should just mute

Leaders of flag-raising group Raise the Colours Oxfordshire placed trackers on highway workers’ cars to find out their home addresses, the High Court has heard. RTC then attempted to intimidate the highway staff into no longer removing flags by repeating their addresses to them.

Seeing the responses to this apology and makes me think that people don't realize how terminally online a lot of us are on here. Fundamentally I think a lot of the public probably don't know who Rod Liddle is and if they do probably haven't read him in years. And they're honestly happier for it

Apologies: I’m not online much, I haven't paid any attention to Rod Liddle for a long time, I didn't really know his extremes. I do now: I wouldn’t have posted if I'd known. I’ve seen death of difficult people up close (and its impact on others): that’s the only reason it was on my mind as an issue.

Been a really vivid few days of COVID times discourse on this website. And seeing it discussed brings back so many memories and experiences which you realize still aren't fully processed. Sometimes wonder what a healthy way to have dealt with the pandemic experience would have been.

Honestly, think the worst thing about the second lockdown was how clearly you could see it coming in the numbers. And then we had the flight from London in the short window Johnson had left people to leave the city. Remember so many patients wishing their family hadn't come visit that year

I just... I feel like I'm going a bit mad? The British government very visibly opposed locking down, we spent all of November 2020 ignoring every sign in order to "save Christmas." The BBC's weakness was not deference to science, but to the government! Laura K was reposting videos of buckets!
