The NIH staff really are the best humans, working so hard to ensure that the science can continue in incredibly challenging times.
My dept. posted this on the other site and it’s not getting any ♥️, so I’m posting it here 🦋 Excited to work with lead PI Artur Indzhykulian (Harvard/MEE) and co-I Marcos Sotomayor (University of Chicago) on this important study & grateful to the Ushers Syndrome Society @washumedicine.bsky.social

As someone currently serving as a member of an NIH study section, I have similar thoughts, and feel a huge amount of gratitude to our POs, SROs, and staff for the incredible work they do 🙏

Quick question for my #hearingresearch peeps — has there ever been a community effort to breed transgenic BL6 mice into Ahl-corrected strains? 🐀 I keep running into studies that don't account for the deafness mutation and it's disheartening 😓 Asking for a friend (me) 😘
