Alright, it was suggested to me that I actually crowdfund the out of pocket cost for the lumbar MRI since my insurance keeps denying the day before the appt even w/ it as an important order. I will have more info in the replies as well. I was honestly hesitant but... ko-fi.com/portaltohades

Right now, I'm currently in need of a lumbar MRI but due to insurance denials and other roadblocks, I may be forced to pay out of pocket. Since trying to get it twice now, my symptoms have significantly worsened over the last few months. After discussing my options with friends, I've agreed to make a kofi goal to cover the MRI, bills, transportation, and a small cushion for other necessities. Literally any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I am honored to announce that in cooperation with the Toth family, I will be working on the official Alex Toth typeface in the coming months. The plan is for this to be a commercially available font via the official Toth estate. Stay tuned for updates.

And for the really bad news? They've put a target on VPNs. Sites are required to identify (and age-verify) any US citizen, regardless of whether they're using a VPN. In fact, the default is to get the ID and biometrics of EVERYONE unless you can somehow prove their not a US citizen.

"VPNs are a privacy and security tool used by millions of internet users every day, and their use should not be treated as suspect. It is particularly galling that the SCREEN Act forces users who intentionally take steps to protect their privacy to identify themselves."

I had one singular goal for the month of July and that was to organize my bookshelves. I failed spectacularly, so this is my accountability thread where I list whatever’s distracted me from finishing This morning’s excuse: I would’ve finished if @chaceverity.com’s books weren’t so re-readable
