Bombshell new report out from my investigators this morning spanning our four year investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s financial records. This report shows exactly how Wall Street protected Epstein and enabled his sex trafficking for decades. Mega thread following with some key points:

Deutsche Bank, JPMorgan, BofA Enabled Epstein, Wyden Report Says

Democrat Ron Wyden cited nonpublic documents held by the US Treasury in a report that says banks delayed reporting suspicious financial transactions and calls for tougher anti-money-laundering rules, ...

when rfk tells you to eat your vegetables and cut out soda: yes health daddy when a democrat says the same thing: help help i’m being nannied!!!

Here's the spectrum that I think should be used: communist->socialist->progressive->liberal->conservative->reactionary->monarchist Biden is in the liberal camp. I see Bill Clinton as more conservative than Biden. Immigration is not an ideological issue compared to others imo

The Christian right has a decades-long record of using panics about porn and kids to enact censorship laws that eventually come to restrict adults' political, religious, and commercial speech. They want to ban VPNs and have a Great Firewall here. Don't fall for the lies about SCREEN Act.

Mike Stabile@mikestabile.bsky.social · 24h ago

If SCREEN were to pass, you'd be required to scan your face and upload an ID to access this site because it allows "harmful" material. This affects you even if you don't care about sex work or porn.

🧵 This Thomas Edsall column is extremely subpar. It is the case that "democratic socialist" is a slight liability, however, being endorsed by Trump or being MAGA is even more of a liability. Edsall does not mention that because it goes against his Clintonian conservative wishful thinking.

Bar chart titled "Political labels that make U.S. voters more or less likely to support a candidate," comparing three labels across "more likely" and "less likely" columns: Self-described Democratic Socialists (32% more likely, 50% less likely); Endorsements from President Trump (29% more likely, 52% less likely); Self-described supporters of the MAGA movement (27% more likely, 57% less likely). Chart by Gabriel Cortés for CNBC, sourced from the CNBC All-America Economic Survey, with responses collected July 8-12 from 1,000 registered U.S. voters.

The article is on democratic socialism and I wish he had explored a bit what the term means in practice today in our post-Cold War environment. What policies are associated with it? Are they popular? Do they mark a departure from New Deal liberal traditions? www.nytimes.com/2026/08/04/o...

Some folks in the Democratic coalition could learn from Black understanding of power ~ voting is a necessary (while also insufficient) tool, not a whimsy of self expression.

The article quotes the tired saw of the problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money, but our government has been offering agricultural subsidies for a very long time, and it turns out that we have yet to run out of other people's money.

Bluesky is a "liberal bubble" because fascist chuds can't get traction without algorithmic assistance and because people here trained themselves to block "debate me" trybois the instant they roll up

Bluesky's new CEO Toni Schneider on the platform's reputation for being a liberal bubble: "Yes, we definitely want that to change. It is already changing. It certainly wasn’t designed to attract one specific group of people."

The way we're supposed to listen to this guy 35 years after his one achievement is incredible. Pat Caddell (Carter's Carville) was by 1992 a pariah in the Democratic Party, and he ended up on Brietbart, Fox News, and the Trump campaign. They all do this. You can just stop listening to them.

Widow's Bay DSA@gonebabygone.bsky.social · 3d ago

James Carville isn’t even good at what he got famous for anymore (folksy bullshit that appeals to consultants who think southern people are some kind of pixie), now he just goes on TV to go “you’d probably be happy if I killed myself”

I realize these are all things that sex workers have told us and could tell us better. Consumer-facing AI is basically a sex worker so of course it’s personalizing various iterations of financial domination for men because that’s what they want.

There’s also something to how women are socialized to be suspicious of flattery — it’s how we transfer responsibility for men’s desire onto women’s bodies; we are taught to defend against that in service to our “innocence” or whatever — whereas men accept flattery as their due. Perfect marks.

So many sneering elitist journalists with snarky posts over the past months that the Reflecting Pool story was trivial. It was so trivial that the DC US Attny presented false evidence to a grand jury to indict an innocent man to please the President while they both lied about it.

WELL NOW, would you look at that? A massive, 24-YEAR-LONG study of MORE THAN 1.2 MILLION people in Denmark found NO LINK between aluminum in childhood vaccines and autism, asthma, OR chronic disorders. Aluminum is an ADJUVANT. It ENHANCES your immune response to a vaccine. That’s it.

Get in, there’s a new secret political influence campaign paying people to post. This time, a network targeting people in Michigan. First paid to post about how hard it is to afford groceries and gas, the accounts have gone hard in recent days, supporting Haley Stevens. www.ms.now/news/haley-s...

Secret paid influencer campaign backing Stevens floods Michigan Senate race

Rep. Haley Stevens and the Senate Democratic PAC said they were not involved in the effort to pay for user-generated content endorsing her.

My theory is this is more evidence of Fox News’s influence on the mainstream media. Fox’s outrage machine set the news agenda for 2 decades now. If they’re screaming about something, the rest of the media treats it as a major story. If Fox isn’t screaming, mainstream journalists are at a loss.

It’s completely nuts that Trump won by less than 2M votes with near universal media help and worldwide rage at incumbents and the media treated this like a permanent sea change towards MAGA and now less than 2 years later he’s the least popular President in history and there’s no media reckoning

EFF’s @maassive.bsky.social spoke with @cnn.com about the anti-ALPR sentiment sweeping the nation. “Once people start learning about the massive scale of the data that’s being collected and who it’s being accessed by, it starts to freak them out.”
