I know this isn't an original observation, but it is absolutely WILD to me that in the last five years tech adverts have gone from aspirational futuristic cool to just outright saying "Oh my god, you're such a fucking loser, just get the computer to do everything you useless shit".

Being an artist in these times were AI is everywhere feels like having magic powers. You have the power to create something that comes from your soul and is not generated. That's amazing and I am glad I can create and animate my ideas, I hope artists will keep creating in those dark times.

We have a camp/kitsch/cheesy/weird Street Fighter movie at home. And it is the greatest movie of all time. This was unnecessary at best and deeply disrespectful to the sacred memory of Raul Julia at worst.

As someone who is an avowed fan of camp, kitsch, cheesy, weird cinema, I actually feel pretty offended by the people defending the abysmal new Street Fighter movie with the line of saying it’s camp/kitsch/cheesy/weird, and therefore doesn’t need to be good or made with care.

Can you imagine the press reaction if Palestine Action were forcing Ambulance Stations to close? Or the Socialist Workers Party were shutting Fire Stations? No, of course not, cos it wouldn't fucking happen. These people are terrorists and should be treated as such. Ban, arrest, imprison.
