Dad jokes, dad music, dad bod, no kids. I'm a faux pa. Formerly a coffee shop musician/guitar store music teacher. Currently a cranky lefty agoraphobic writer/pro-dom. I'm a jack-off of many trades. NSFW(ish), MDNI. 43, he/they

I love a lot of Bowie songs, esp all the ones Seu Jorge sang, Blackstar, Lost Highway, but this is the one that pops into my head right now, and that probably says more about my own anxieties and where I'm at mentally than anything about Bowie. #MusicSky #Bowie & #Reznor youtu.be/LT3cERVRoQo?...

What’s the FIRST song that pops in your head when you see this musician ?

Joys: * finally getting home after a long, chaotic, and exhausting evening/night spent helping a friend who was crashing out * getting home way too late and rubbing one out before sleep, anyway * sure, being unemployed sucks, but tonight I'm just thankful I don't work in the morning

there are definitely downsides to the nuclear block but the reason I keep coming back to it as necessary and good is that it completely ruined the whole MAGA engagement model to the point that they prefer to mock us from the nazi bar rather than come here to troll us directly

Bluesky oldheads will remember that brief period of time when the conservative trolls tried to storm the place and were flummoxed by the idea they would have to organically grow an audience and that someone who didn't want to talk to them could nuke every interaction they ever had from orbit

Joys: * the "slurp" noise on Baby by Os Mutantes * when you're cooking dinner and it feels like a series of mini-disasters, but in the end there's no fires/ injuries/damage, and the food turns out tasty * being a petty bitch (once and a while, as a treat) * casual phone game stopped glitching

Who is the fictional character you relate to the most? I mean, I relate a LOT to Shaggy, Marty McFly, Doc Sportello, Ed Hurley, Harold Smith, Blitzo and E. Edward Grey... but I gotta say the character i relate to the MOST is the awkward guitarist who likes Franz Kafka and cats.

Dwayne from Home Movies, he's got long black hair and a backwards ball cap, a skull t-shirt, and a red guitar

Who is the fictional character you relate to the most? According to my irl friends (btw I'd be very curious to hear what my bluesky friends think):

Call me petty, but this review of the Paul Simon to my Art Garfunkel is bringing me joy: "[...] with some new numbers but the same shape, the same commentary, and so on. [...] The arrangements were the same. The pop influence was as obvious. It wasn’t a bad show, but it wasn’t a new one, either."

happy bday a fav. James Baldwin, b.1924. "Love takes off the masks we fear we cannot live without and know we cannot live within." "You think your pain and your heartbreak are unprecedented in the history of the world, but then you read." "Love is a battle, love is a war; love is a growing up.”
