this is fucked on a few levels. first, the violation isn't with content hosted on YouTube itself, but has to do with linking out to "sexually gratifying" content on other platforms, often using aggregators like Linktree. SWers are very familiar with this; IG is notoriously strict about it, too

"We terminated these channels for linking to content that violates our nudity and sexual content policy," a spokesperson for YouTube told 404 Media in a statement. "Our external link policies apply equally to all creators across YouTube, and this action was taken in accordance with our long-standing policies, not as a change in policy or targeting of ASMR content."

the reason why people are against censoring sex in media is bc “sex” will end up getting redefined over and over again to fit anybody’s legislative motives and soon enough you (in this case, ASMR channels) will slip through those cracks

a bunch of popular ASMR artists lost their channels forever this week, after YouTube cited them for violating terms against "sexually gratifying" content: www.404media.co/youtube-asmr...

Got some blueberry pomegranate-flavoured fizzy water from AHA, and holy hell, this stuff is so good. I'm not even big on carbonated drinks, but I will be getting this again sometime.
