JWST/ Near-Infrared Camera (NIRSpec) images of Neptune's moon Larissa and rings, acquired on two dates when Larissa was on opposite sides of Neptune. An M1.9 flare is currently occuring from AR 4492 which is near the Sun's western limb. A very large CME is also lifting off which has a small chance of containing Earth-directed components. We will see what the coronagraphs reveal as the event is currently unfolding.

We are used to seeing weird shapes of small asteroids, but this is next level! look at the shape of 44 Nysa from Minker et al. This is 75 km volume-equivalent diameter object! Also it has a satellite! #planetSci 🧪
