Among my printouts, this World Class Leaderboard scorecard marking what may be the ONLY time I could get my dad to play C64 with me. Having played Golf on the NES, he'd get really impatient for Leaderboard to redraw the screen between shots. Hard to believe he's been gone almost a decade, RIP Dad.
Going through old papers, I found printouts of some of my geoPaint masterpieces. The last one depitcts an idea I had for a Dark Castle sequel where a secret passage under the castle leads to a cave network that's the domain of the wizard who gave you the fireball power in the first two games.

@golgo13.bsky.social You've probably already seen this, but if not, I'm humbly requesting that you fire up the Vic version of Vice and give it a play on the channel. Also @jasesdesouza.bsky.social I don't know if you're a BurgerTime guy, but a new Vic title is always worth a look.
The devs had long since fixed the bug in question by the time I encountered it. I just hadn't updated the CRT on my Kung Fu Flash to the fixed version, which has been out for six whole months. Dunno how I missed it. Regardless, it was a decent run up to that point. youtu.be/sXdXF1UHqE0

They're in the midst of reworking the sprites, and seeing their progress, I can't wait til it's finished. Here's one of many sneak peeks posted on Lemon. We just held a tournament with a pair of 2-button sticks and the last version before the sprite tweaks. Twas a blast. youtu.be/b3leoi94W7I

@golgo13.bsky.social @logrus.uk Both you guys beat Sherwood already? I got stuck, had a breakthrough, then died. But the breakthrough was a big one. Will try again tomorrow.

Works-in-progress that deserve more hype, #2: I don't understand how this one hasn't already been released. I don't see how that this version lacks a single thing, and it's six years old at this point. I hope the dev is okay. youtu.be/n3AFJMYsfEI

Finally gave up trying to get Tetris Recoded to play nice with my Kung Fu Flash and just copied the prg over to my 1581. Would freeze from the KFF trying to write a high score table. Works perfectly now though. And boy is it fun! See if you can beat my top score. csdb.dk/release/?id=...

Not quite a review, not quite a let's-play, in this video we test the waters of Epyx's ill-fated Legend of Blacksilver. Hopefully it sheds a light on how much time to invest before deciding whether the game is for you. youtu.be/AaoxChh3D-M

Only $6 baby!! This comes with all four versions of Karateka, including the very faithful and buttery smooth modern update, and I have a blast with all of 'em. Plus you get the making-of videos and a director's commentary for the remaster. A no-brainer at six bucks. www.nintendo.com/us/store/pro...

When I was a kid, my dentist was an old timer who played postwar easy listening music in his waiting room. If nothing else it took the edge off my pre-appointment nerves, soothed my dread. Playing in the waiting room at my dentist now? Duck Dynasty. And I’m ‘bout to crawl up outta my skin.
@jasesdesouza.bsky.social On the topic of relaxing samples, this was sampled for the Electric Relaxation interstitial breaks. It was also used in the bizarre indie game STRANGERS, based on Pasolini’s Teorema, starring Terrence Stamp. youtu.be/EdifTs5NX84

I bought Keys to Maramon back in the day, but I returned it because it felt phoned-in compred to the masterpiece that was Times of Lore, which I’d just finished.
