I've returned to Westeros with “The Knight of the Seven Kingdoms,” and reading fan comments, I think that even though George R.R. Martin's work achieves the desired effect, it continues to be misinterpreted.

Today is the day to tell a strange story. The long version we'll tell later, but the short version is this. In an attic, in his late great-uncle's house, @jon.inkle.co found a locked trunk. It took twenty years to open. Last summer he did. Inside was a wiring diagram, and a stack of books.

Anzuelo's (re)release as a softcover is today 🪸🪝 I think the only reprint I ever had was at the beginning of Pretty Deadly so it means a lot. Moreover considering this one, precisely, is embarrassingly personal and not that easy to read. Thank you for reading and caring, and talking about it!

After Expelled came out we looked around for our next project, considering mechanical successors to Highland, 80 Days, Heaven’s Vault… … and settled on a design that looked “simple”, has a completely new-to-us-anyway loop and narrative architecture. It wasn’t simple :(
