If @andyburnham.bsky.social wanted to score some easy political points he would keep the killers of PC Harper in jail and release all those people who were convicted of supporting Palestine Action.

Seems simple to me even though I realise it probably isn't that simple. If a firm makes surplus profit, that profit should be taxed at a much elevated rate or legislation should be put in place to limit profiteering. Profiting on the back of a war should be criminalised.

There's a video out there of some guy asking questions to Clacton voters and the most surprising fact, to me, is that some people,in Clacton, don't know there's an election. Living under a stone.

A party that was actually anti-racist would be kicking this person out, not allowing them to run for the Governing Committee. There are many decent Greens who will be disgusted by this and I wish them all power fighting back against it. We know from experiance how hard that is.

Part of Keir Starmer's unpopularity was down to him having to act on issues the conservatives kicked into the long grass for way too long. Prisoner release was one of those.

Maybe just maybe, we're puting too many people in jail? Crime is down but we have more people in jail than ever. How does that compute?
