A few years ago, I found out that my grandma, Doris Parkes, used to play hockey with the Vancouver Amazons. The more I looked into it, the more I realized she was one of the key figures in the history of women's hockey in Vancouver.

This morning in Biddeford, Maine, a 26-year-old man said goodbye to his wife and daughter and left for work. Moments later he was dead, shot in the head by ICE agents, the second man ICE has killed in six days. ICE is killing our neighbors. ICE cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE.
One employee was driving to work when the station went off air. He heard the recorded message saying it was over. That’s how he was informed he lost his job. Some found out when other media began reporting it. These employees deserved dignity and respect & Rogers chose not to provide that.

Working holidays, early mornings, evenings, overnight, weekends. 24/7 through the pandemic. Fire seasons, snowstorms & floods. Internal politics. For this? Disgraceful.
