We are delighted to present the new editorial team of the @ejpgjournal.bsky.social ! Led by @grahn.bsky.social and @maarja.bsky.social as co-EIC, the six-strong team represents a new generation of gender and politics and LGBTQ+ politics scholars who will take the journal forward from July 2026.

Grateful to @elpais.com for featuring our research on Budapest Pride and its critical role in Orban's eventual defeat. Our findings show how the attempted repression of Pride helped transform LGBTQI visibility into a broader defense of freedom and democracy.

A ban on conversion therapy in the European Union has moved a step closer. The European Parliament has voted to outlaw the practice of “curing” an individual’s sexual orientation or gender identity. It follows pressure from campaign groups and a petition that collected 1,200,000 signatures. 1/2

The High Court has just confirmed what many of us knew. The Office for Students fine of the University of Sussex for supposed ‘free speech’ infringements was a biased piece of right wing culture war politics and had nothing whatsoever to do with free speech. Sussex vindicated and the OfS exposed.
