Sunday Game day! Today is Armello, based on the video game of the same name. It’s always silly to me when they make a digital board game and then an analog version of it, but much like Slay the Spire (analog) it is very much it’s own thing and is VERY good!
I watched “Run, Woman, Run” for National Canadian Film Day. 10/10 movie. Heartfelt, emotional, well acted and really hit home. Despite having done a presentation on media representation earlier in the day, i am always surprised by how hard Indigenous stories hit me.
I’m six days in to my war against driving and I have never felt freer.
I’m super disconnected from even music that I like but i somehow missed that my favorite rap group re recorded and re-released this album from 2000 and now I’m reliving the experience of just listening to it from start to finish.
After much waiting, i was finally able to play one of my most anticipated board games from @kidstablebg.bsky.social, Lairs. I have a lot of bias towards the publisher and one of the designers but I am always ready to be critical of a game. This game has already far exceeded my expectations.
We chose our home largely in part of cool people who represent our values and fight for our needs and we have been successful largely because of community minded folks like Janis. She continues to give us hope every day.

I traveled to whitehorse, vancouver and red deer over the last 8 days for a mix of personal and professional reasons. It was mostly rewarding, very tiring and kept me away from work that needs doing. But when i got back to the store I found this and it reminded me why i get up and fight every day.
Good lord Westjet is aaaaaaawful. I’m so glad i rarely have to fly.
I don’t want to shock anyone but I’m playing a GAME at the GAME CONVENTION! @terminalcitycon.ca to be exact.
I’m not someone who appreciates art beyond like, games and movies but watching this modern dance performance was an incredibly emotional and moving experience.
Much like DMX (RIP) i don’t dance but when the Red River Jig starts it’s almost impossible to not.
Tearing up watching some beautiful performances in traditional regalia.

I had an exchange with a deaf man at the drug store (the hilarity had nothing to do with him being deaf) and it was a stark reminder that I should learn ASL. I THINK i did thank you correctly.
