Here are some creepy things about livers. OK if you put a liver from a big dog into a small dog the liver will shrink to fit. After liver transplant sometimes fragments break off and can implant elsewhere in the body & start growing more liver. Liver cells often have two nuclei! (illegal manoeuvre)

I so envy people whose brains can just go quiet. Whose minds aren't always turned inward, thinking. Or thinking about how they're thinking. Or thinking about how they're thinking about thinking. The peace of having nothing but ocean waves crashing between one's ears for a while, incredible.

I did it. I went out to a cafe. Outdoor tables all taken but indoors is OK and food is tasty. A hot chocolate and a flatbread with pear, goat's cheese and pistachio.

One of the things I've learned over the years is my brain's limitations, not just in intellect but in mood management. Husband has taken kid out for a long walk - I should be enjoying this time but I am paralysed here, heart beating fast, so I need to get up and do stuff.

Something I love about Stockholm: Look. It's a brygga (jetty) but it looks just like a bus stop ... because it IS a bus stop. There's a boat coming and you can use your SL (local transport) app or card just the same as any bus or train. Husband is out for a walk and hopping to the next island.

You see everything is connected. The marine heatwaves off the coasts of Europe make heatwaves on land more intense, which in turn dries out vegetation, which then creates perfect fire weather conditions. Brought to you by the world's refusal to drastically reduce the burning of fossil fuels.

Such a nice evening we thought we'd have. Took kid out for a run around even though it looked like rain - turned out, she liked the rain. She fell asleep soon after 8pm. Absolute luxury! I made soup and bacon rolls. As I turned over some bacon, the hot fat spat all over my face. I screamed.
