The former captain of the world leading us women's national soccer team routinely speaks up for trans inclusion in sport. The United Nations Special Rapporteurs on Cultural Rights and Right to the Highest Possible Degree of Health have both spoken out against trans sports bans.

It's not an abstract debate over the hypotheticals of whether trans women might have genetic advantages or not, it's a well worn thing where cis women athletes are actively fighting for trans inclusion and sick of being talked over.

The biggest difficulty for trans rights – the general public seems to believe the new guidance makes it possible to exclude eg trans women from women's services in some circumstances. No. This was the previous position. The current guidance requires their exclusion, always, regardless of context.

NHS and government data policy on trans people now completely functions as a means of sidelining our needs and what we think, feel, experience through our healthcare on the basis that we don't know what's good for us. The approach to policy development around trans issues is fully disciplinary.
