I edited an entire video with footage all in 60fps to only see I set my timeline at the start to 24fps by mistake. Joy. Had a little panic (there isn't Right Click - Convert fps in Da Vinci) then I saw its not that bad & after moving to a new timeline there were just some odd cuts needing fixing.

I recently turned down on talk on "How I always stay employed", because I said that it's a question I'm not comfortable with - largely because anything after 2022 means the answer is "LUCK". We are not solely in a skill based Battle Royale right now.

This is the person that pre-AI bs would ask you for thousand sketches, you provide, they come back "disgruntled" that its not like they want it, then they refuse to pay. That was pretty much the story I had with a client in 2015 or so. I'm sure many of you have had similar "hell" clients.

"I'm entitled to whatever I want whenever I want it for any reason and I don't care what satisfying these urges does to me or the world" well okay dude, seems like there's something deeper going on here, but that's just my take

New CPU cooler installed and I managed NOT to smudge thermal paste everywhere. Impressive? I should have taken pics of the coolers and their heatsinks from the side because the difference is so giant, its amusing. It not quite easy to see the difference in the first pics due to the angle.

A picture of an old, small cpu cooler seen in a PC rig.Same PC rig seen from inside, but now the CPU cooler with label AMD on it is much bigger. The new CPU cooler running and lit in blue rgb.

Sharing my frustration with a browser, few days ago, surprisingly, gave me some of the most baffling interactions on Bluesky since I joined years ago. Like out of this world stuff. Someone accused me of writing "hit pieces and smear campaigns". Are you serious? (thread 1/)

A bsky reply reading "auto-update?

what is that? never seen it.

I've only been using firefox for more than ten years ...

this post is a hit piece
a smear campaign"

Hey artists! 🎮Quote your video game fanart! 🎮 I think this was the first, and last, fan art I ever did. Supposedly Widowmaker, painted in 2017. I say supposedly because looking at it now, near 10 years later, I don't think there are many clues its Widowmaker from Overwatch, haha. #art

A painting of a woman staring at the camera, holding a glass of wine. Her appearance is meant to resemble Widowmaker from Overwatch, but dressed in non combat clothes.

Hey artists! 🎮Quote your video game fanart! 🎮 Here's a Mephala illustration I did some time ago which ended up making rounds online? And yes, I'm a *massive* Elder Scrolls fan...still firing up Morrowind, Skyrim and sometimes Oblivion ❤️

Enough complaining about browsers and tech, here is some art progress. Fixed up the texture painting on the upper parts of the floating spires so they fit bit better the overall art style. I need to figure out something for the mountains and sky soon as they are bit empty now. #art

A screenshot of an artwork showing three spires floating above a tower. From left to right they are colored in blue, purple and orange. Magical orbs hold them up in the air.

Has anyone noticed how Firefox lately forces you to restart it after auto update in order to continue using it? Like straight out refuses to load pages otherwise. Tells you to restart. Why would anyone make something so obtrusive? Modern day software dev is a hellscape compared to some years ago.

I got kind of fed up with constantly updating Blender and addons so I told myself I’ll stay on an LTS for long but now that I’m seeing all of the new stuff in 5.2 it makes me realise I’m walking back on what I thought and definitely updating to it, haha.
