I'm fortunate to have a chalk stream running through my division in #Cambridge and welcomed the motion from @petercharlesrees.bsky.social to start monitoring the effect of road run off on our streams and rivers - especially important for those running through urban areas!
Let's be absolutely clear: there is no amount of new drilling in the North Sea that Burnham could approve which would be consistent with our climate goals. If we are to avoid complete climate breakdown, we need to turn all effort to clean renewable energy - not doubling down on dirty fossil fuels.

I spent today at Cambridgeshire County Council to present our Green budget amendment including auto-enrolment for schoolmeals to help tackle child poverty and Polluter Pays parking reform to raise funds for potholes. Unfortunately, voted down by the other parties. But we are not deterred !
