I saw The Odyssey last night and it's affected my thinking. I come back from the grocery store: "What an odyssey!" I return the tote bags to the car in 90 degree weather: "That was quite an odyssey!" And so on.

I’m a firm believer in carding a story, then doing a beat sheet, then outlining. The process of breaking the story multiple times with increasing levels of detail helps me spot the big problems before I get to script. ‘Cuz it’s easier and less frustrating to rebreak BEFORE you get to script! 🧵3

If you see this, please tell me the worst/most baffling bit of creative feedback you've ever recieved. Mine is still the time somebody told me my aliens had names that were too alien. Not that they were unpronounceable, just that they didn't sound enough like human names.
