Max Berger@maxberger.bsky.social · 8mo agoDemocrats need to realize ICE isn’t just—or even primarily—a mass deportation force. ICE is also Trump’s most loyal internal security force which will be used to attack regime opponents and try to steal the election. They should defund his authoritarian capabilities.
During Fiona Hill's testimony to Congress on Oct 14, 2019, she described how Trump and Putin discussed exchanging Ukraine for Venezuela. The quid pro quo was if Trump refuses to help Ukraine fight off a Russian invasion, Putin would not help Venezuela (a Russian ally) resist a US takeover.
It’s not about drugs. If it was, Trump wouldn’t have pardoned one of the largest narco traffickers in the world last month. It’s about oil and regime change. And they need a trial now to pretend that it isn’t. Especially to distract from his sinking under Epstein and skyrocketing healthcare costs.

Kathleen Cole@kcolempls.bsky.social · 11mo agoWe wouldn’t need center left orgs if we had progressive electeds and orgs that took seriously the shape of our electorate, how RCV actually works, & were serious about beating Jacob. Either they don’t understand how the shape of our electorate plays out in RCV or they don’t care about beating him.
People are out here blaming RCV for Jacob's win. And I cannot stress this enough: RCV had literally nothing to do with it. Everything about this outcome was entirely predictable. Jacob had huge structural advantages: compliant local media, off-cycle election, PAC $, patronage networks.

As you may have noticed, white supremacists want to stop the influx of hardworking young people (aka immigration) while somehow forcing white women to have lots more babies to compensate, but they refuse to make having kids more affordable and less arduous an experience.

there's this assumption by the admin that there is an infinite supply of buff KKK members ready to fill the ranks of the military and ICE and I have bad news for them both about the overall number of KKK members and their general fitness level
