Bel was one of the Ohioans that Vance demagogued in 2024. He was one of the people who Vance targeted with a blood libel. And now he is dead because of the consequences of that libel. I would like to ask Vance about him.

Never forget this: The forces rigging our economy, undermining our democracy, polluting our planet, and stoking hatred are counting on you to give up. Cynicism is how they win. Stay clear-eyed and ready for the fight ahead.

While we’re eulogizing Tim Curry, PLEASE take care not to devalue the life he lived after his stroke and complications. Yes, it was devastating, but he had reached a peace with it, worked hard in rehabilitation to reclaim things he loved.

My dad was a public school teacher; and he always said the toughest parts of the job were: 1. Having to pay for your own classroom chalk, and 2. Performing gender-reassignment surgeries during class hours w/out parents finding out.

The Library is devastated to learn of the passing of Dolly Parton, a music legend and titan of children's literacy. Her Imagination Library program has earned multiple Library Literacy Awards and, in 2018, she visited us to donate its 100 millionth book to our collection and host a story time. 🦋❤️

There are people who disagree with me and who still believe that compromising with anti-vaxxers is a viable path forward. It’s not. Caveat: parents who have legitimate concerns deserve respect and answers, and fortunately it’s fairly easy to figure out if they’re asking in good faith.
