And I tried investigating a mysterious new path I found in the woods earlier, only to be scuppered by this tree trunk (I didn’t fancy getting on my hands and knees to go under it). Given my luck today I can only assume this tree has saved me from a certain death that waited on the other side.

Well! Having one of those weird days where things are resolving themselves all around me, like a film that has to tie up loose ends fast. But less interesting to anyone but me, probably 😂. I went for my little walk to discover the council had come by and cut back all the pesky bushes 🙌

I have turned into a full on guerrilla gardener since this, walking around with my secateurs stashed in my handbag, whipping them out to snip away at rogue plant menaces that try to cross me. My path through the woods is looking GREAT now. Not sure that I'm allowed to do it though, but 😬🤷🏻‍♀️

My dad (not pictured and not in this outfit) ran the city to surf that year! He’s gonna love this ♥️

Worn #onthisday in 1984 by members of the North Bondi Surf Life Saving Club for the annual "City to Surf" fun run in Sydney, Australia. They wear vintage bathing suits and swim caps and carry a flag and lifesaving reel, invented in 1906 to reel in struggling swimmers. #OTD 📷️ Google Arts and Culture

A zoomed-in embroidery hoop containing a sewn aerial view landscape. It shows a forest on the right, a line of fire and charred ground with smoke on the left. The smoke is felted wool.
