I participate in a weekly outreach event for the unhoused. Last night 4 women from the local mosque cooked for and fed over 400 people. No one refused the food, there was laughter, lots of questions about the recipes. Just people, helping people. Remember that when you vote.

I’m the co-leader of my kid’s Girl Scout troop. Today I noticed we had an invite for an upcoming event, so I clicked into the notification and found the most delightful girl-made, hand-drawn flyer without a hint of AI anywhere. Glorious. If the kids can do it, so can you.
I’m telling you this as a political scientist. The person who is electable is the one who is elected. This can and does change over time. Any and all speculation about “electability” is either puffery or anxiety and is often both.

there is an entire industry of people who give their opinion or predict how things are going to go and their entire job is to be correct are they ever correct? rarely. are there repercussions for being wrong, the thing they are being paid not to be? haha no, no there are not
And just from a dad’s perspective, it seems to me one of the explicit aims here is to make black girls feel like they are ugly. Like why else are you angry about a black little mermaid. And yes I take that shit personal.
It is genuinely bizarre that we’ve become acclimatized to right wingers throwing a tantrum every time a black person (particularly a black woman) is cast in something, but are also supposed to pretend that this is not racism but related to some other substantive concern.
