The thing you gotta keep in mind is that Mel Brooks had his producing credit removed from Lynch's The Elephant Man and Cronenberg's The Fly because he didn't want those films to be mistaken for his comedies. He wanted those films to soar and [gasp] be taken seriously. He had real love for the game.

At 100, there's no question that Mel Brooks is foundational. His films and comedy have quite literally shaped pop culture. Just as important, I feel, was his work producing films for artists like Lynch and Cronenberg. Championing those with visions different than his own to the benefit of us all.

Songs of Glimmerwick feels like the anti-HP of wizard school games. An entire setting that confronts a society newly escaping 40 years of regressive faux-populist politics. Serious as that sounds, Glimmerwick is SO funny and lighthearted. Excited to see the story continue in the full game.
