I’d love to know what people outside the industry think “data centre” actually means, because no one I know expects them to contain any jobs at all. As someone who has built several: any employee is a design flaw.

Re the Emily Wilson discourse - her Dad (A N Wilson) was the king of literary feuds. A good family tradition. Best one was his feud with Bevis Hillier who hoaxed him into including a fake letter in his biography of Bejteman where the first letter of each sentence spelt "AN Wilson is a shit".

Reading another academic paper that claims "our tool performs similarly to PIT". And, again, this claims seems **incredibly** unlikely based on their description of the tool.

The Quarkus jacoco environment variable seems to be only partially honoured by Quarkus. Most robust soloution is therefore to remove the autosetting of this flag and instead disable JaCoCo via byte...

Reading weird delusion "thinking" from an AI booster about how AI can "run tests without running them". Humans can do this too. We call it "assuming we've guessed the result right." It saves lots of time when we guess correctly, and is disastrous when we guess wrong.

I have just realised that I can fix one part of our very expensive guttering problem without erecting scaffolding. Not really sure why I didn't consider simply leaning out of the window before.

Unusually for Scotland, for reasons that are complicated to explain, we do have one room with air conditioning. I am not in that room.
