Got up early this morning and did a ton of work retooling a song I've been kicking around. It's about an existential crisis brought on by reading The Chronicles of Amber and ends up basically as this picture.

I don't remember what adult told me as a child that people with multiple personalities could not be recorded because they messed up audio and video recording, but I unthinkingly accepted it as true until I repeated it out loud yesterday and realized there was no possible way that was correct

What really makes me sound old is that I'd have no choice but to say "Search it up, Kris" and then be left hanging when they don't reply "I'm about to!"

While my wife was reading Paladin's Strength, I had an extremely vivid dream about a woman who turned into a bear, despite having no idea that was in the book, which I think speaks to that psychic power of that novel.

I think I only remember walking out of a movie maybe 4 times, 3 of which were with my dad (The Gods Must Be Crazy, Jake Speed, Hardware - for very different reasons). The only one I remember was an adult was an Xmas Day screening of Django Unchained, because we couldn't take all the crying children.

For years, I thought it was when my dad took me to see Revenge of the Nerds, but I saw Police Academy in theaters as well, and that came out five months earlier, so it must have been that.

I think I actually first encountered this song ("Wannabe") via a comedian (possibly Eddie Izzard) performing on some late night talk show punctuating each of their bits with a line from this song. I have never been able to find any evidence I didn't just imagine this.

I want to take a moment to try to sell yall on a movie you would probably love but don’t know about. Riddle of Fire is what would happen if someone made a modem grindhouse movie but they were inspired by the kiddie matinees instead of Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

I almost always just take pictures of the cards next to paintings instead of the paintings themselves, but we went to the Whitney last week and I liked the Akira Ikezoe paintings so much that I actually took a picture of Mole Stories Around Methane Gas

Obviously, this won't work for everyone, but a good way to watch Buffet Infinity is to get up at 5:30 and let it wash over until you can't tell if you're actually awake and then when your very unusual first name shows up on a memorial wall in a news report you really don't know what's real anymore
