It's astonishing that the UAE hasn't found itself in more diplomatic trouble yet. Its reckless projects in MENA and ever closer ties to Israel were deemed mad conspiracies two decades ago and now its all in the open. I guess willing to throw money at everything is an effective shield.

I'm sure Germans who voted AfD while still intoxicated by victory can't be convinced they made a horrible mistake right now. But they should be reminded of Trump saying "Make Germany Great Again," in a couple weeks, and asked what period he might be referring to.
