I love that Missouri made the question of ending ballot measures a ballot measure itself. Imagine people who support this idea getting to the bottom of the ballot and leaving that part blank on principle
I'm so incredibly glad to see that Missouri voters are rejecting Amendments 4 & 5 by absolutely epic proportions.
Proposals like Amendments 4 & 5 in Missouri show how nakedly the Republican program is a program for a Second Redemption: virtually no possibility for popular enactment of measures for civil rights, social equality, or public goods, and no possibility for funding any measure that sneaks through.
was alerted by a reader that the bloom county house is for sale, though apparently in some disrepair www.zillow.com/homedetails/...

I’m much more afraid of people not from here walking around with guns than I am of any of my neighbors the delusion they want me living in is that my neighbors are to be feared
like I cannot emphasize enough how far away I am from federal buildings, the monuments, etc. one man’s delusions means this is what our residential neighborhoods look like
My mom could easily afford to only have good quality items in her wardrobe, but she loves seeing a package at her door so she orders an endless stream of garbage from Temu (and then tries to pass it off to me when it turns out to be garbage)
Like, you cannot fully understand what the system does and why it works until you understand there is a very real preference among a very real portion of the population—mainly people who CAN afford better things and simply choose not to buy them—for inexpensive things with a known quality deficit
Broken Social Scene at the Anthem with Stars and Metric. These guys are all great but man, three bands in a row that I actually want to see is Too Much Music
Melon seeds I bought at H Mart coming along nicely
I once saw one in a Missouri cemetery where the semi truck itself appeared to be ascending into heaven, but unfortunately it did not include this epitaph
Sometimes when doing genealogy research you stumble upon stuff that leaves you speechless.
I've gotten myself into a situation where I can make myself seething mad just walking around and observing other people's landscaping choices
What is an extremely nerdy/obscure/specific thing you hate with a white-hot wrath?
Learning from Molly Conger's podcast that De La was Byron De La Beckwith's middle name. That's fucked up, man. I don't know why, but that disturbs me
Sending permission slips home in cuneiform for students from Elamite-speaking households

Weird how everyone at this show is middle aged. Not me though
Forgot that I bought tickets to Passion Pit at 9:30 Club tomorrow. Relistening to catch up. Also forgot how many of these songs rip
I've learned that my neighbor's crusty little white dog is named Terry. Lol
Late to work because they were painting new stripes on the street and I had an involuntary umarell reaction
Please, call me Glen. Dr. Burnie was my father.
Putting "MD" after my name because I incorporated as a municipality in Maryland

Steve started watching some of these after reading about the industry and ended up briefly obsessed with a soap opera about switched-at-birth heiresses that was clearly google-translated from Mandarin
I can confirm that studios are obsessed with these and with getting them right. The success of YouTube shorts and, like, TikTok, Instagram, et al has caused something close to panic. A deluge is coming.
stephen miller killed this couple, as surely as if he'd pulled the trigger himself
Stephen Miller said just the other day that all asylum claims are "fake." A couple deported from the U.S. to Guatemala were gagged, bound, and shot dead. Their 14-month old found crying next to their mother's body. People like Miller don't care though because this is the point: ethnic cleansing.
I am sorry to inform you that the entire existing world order has been replaced by a ranking of who has seen the raddest moth.
