#MythAugust It's a mixture. Just as one example, Shanso is in charge of luck - good, bad, or random circumstance. Petitioners of course often ask her for good luck, and asteroid prospectors and gamblers will often invoke her name. There are stories of her granting especially good or bad [1/2]

#MythAugust There are several religions around the solar system of Thoughtless and Careless. Two from Mars are mentioned - one monotheist (with minions/angels) and one polytheist. Del currently follows neither but had been involved in both at different times in her earlier life.

When writing Yagmar, I listened to a lot of Timeless Miracle and The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets. When writing Del, it's the Life is Strange: Before the Storm soundtrack, especially the parts by Daughter. (Though the chapter name "No Below" in her first book comes from the Speedy Ortiz song.)

For Del, Charisma's the highest by far. She's good at talking herself out of trouble. She's had to be, she does it a lot. Dexterity next, which she relies on when the CHA roll fails. :) Wisdom is definitely her dump stat.

#SummerOfStories I do not edit as I go. Part of the benefit by writing by hand in notebooks for the first draft. The first minor edits are typing the whole thing into the computer, then a beginning-to-end editing pass/re-write big chunks of it, often to bring earlier scenes in line with later ones.

Today, I wrote over a thousand words. I was trying to write a hundred. Day 1 of this "Writing Battle" thing I'm trying. They give you prompts & word count and you have two days to write a story. Writing a complete story in one hundred words is hard.

In Thoughtless, only a couple of minor characters are non-binary. They just popped up that way. I did write a play a few years back, commissioned as part of the city of Eugene's "art scavenger hunt." It was short - only five pages - multiple copies of which were hidden around the city. [1/2]
